Bedspace Management is a new service that replaces the current reactive approach to hospital equipment management in the clinical bed space, with a strategic, integrated service focused on the needs of the patient and the team treating and caring for them.

A Bedspace team is created to work directly with clinicians on the wards to agree exactly which equipment is needed in the patient bedspace. They will arrange for it to be delivered clean and working prior to admission, ensure any supplementary needs are met during the patient stay,and on discharge is collected cleaned and decontaminated to post COVID protocols serviced and stored.

They will also arrange for removal of any unwanted or non – working equipment, and liaise with all responsible departments.
